THREE VOICES

Honing in on Your Three Voices

Have you ever wondered what to post next on social media? You thought maybe you would want to blog but didn’t know where to start or what to say? Maybe you are more like me and you have a million things ideas of things you want to start or try and do not know which one to land on?

How about this question you may ask yourself….

How does that person have such a beautifully curated account?

Defining your voice and narrowing your audience is where this all starts! You can only have a voice in a few areas and not EVERY area. There is a reason why I do not share recipes. I am NOT an expert in it and I do not want people to come to me for that. I COULD share things I have learned but I know that is not where my voice is going to have the most impact on my audience.

What do you want people to go to YOU for?

What problems can you solve for them?

You should have no more than THREE MAIN messages and audiences in your business. This is so that you have higher impact and can be a master of these areas.

My husband and I’s photography business has three voices and this is what they are:

  1. Newly engaged couples/Married couples - the joy of marriage

  2. Dreamers/Business Owners

  3. Authentic us- family, faith and balance

So how do we decide what to post next? We rotate our messages.

Today I’ll talk to my newly engaged couples and tomorrow I will talk to business owners and the next day I am going to speak more personally about my family and faith. We create our content calendar with balancing our content between our three voices.

Don’t overthink this. Ask yourself these questions!

What are you passionate about?

What makes you come alive?

What do people already come to you for as if you were an expert?

Let’s start there! Hone in and focus on your strong voices for greater impact!
